Weekend Worship Update

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Last week, along with our neighbors and fellow Texans, our First Presbyterian Family endured many hardships during the statewide polar event. We are blessed that our historic facility survived the winter storm with relatively minor damage. However, the floor of Westminster Hall sustained some significant water damage, warping the wood and requiring immediate remediation and repair. This necessary work will require that Westminster Hall be “out of commission” for the next two Sundays.

This moment challenges us to exercise our adaptability with regard to our Sunday morning gatherings and schedule. To accommodate the needs of our congregation and the ongoing repairs, our Sunday worship schedule and locations have been adjusted for the next two Sundays (2/28 and 3/7) as follows:

9:00 AM – Traditional Worship Service in the Sanctuary.

10:00 AM – Sunday School

11:02 AM – Contemporary Worship Service in the Sanctuary.

Please note, that there will be no 11:00 a.m. Traditional Service.

The Lord has blessed us with multiple spaces to carry out the sacred privilege of worship. I thank you for your patience in dealing with this temporary challenge and know that you will embrace it with enthusiasm and joy as we come together to give glory to the Lord this Sunday.

Ascribe to the Lord, O families of the peoples, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength! Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him!  I Chronicles 16:28–29

Grace and peace,

Bob Fuller
Senior Pastor
