God of Covenant: A Study of Genesis 12-50, by Jen Wilkin

There are no minor characters in the story of God. Beginning with Genesis 12, walk alongside the fathers of our faith-Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph-to discern Jesus in the stories of His people. Over 10 sessions, discover how God orchestrates everything for His glory and the good of His people. See how the God of creation and covenant is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Participants will meet in Covenant Hall on Tuesday mornings from 9:30-11:30am from January 8 – March 19, 2019. Suggested donation for workbook is $13, and child care is available by reservation. For information or to register, contact Judy Kruger at (210) 857-0122 or judykruger@sbcglobal.net.

Wednesday Evening Women’s Bible Study

Meets: 6:30 – 8:15 p.m.

Room: 302

Topic:

ELIJAH by Melissa Spoelstra

In this six-week study grounded in 1 and 2 Kings, we will examine the life of the prophet Elijah, an ordinary man who did extraordinary things for God in the midst of the highs and lows of life. We’ll learn some of the spiritual stamina secrets that helped him to hold on and persevere in faith, including practical habits related to making decisions, caring for the soul, accepting his circumstances, mentoring, and finishing well-which was his ultimate legacy. Whether we’re currently in a mountaintop season where we’re experiencing God’s power and blessing, a valley season where we feel like running away, or somewhere in between, Elijah’s life will inspire us to go the distance in the life of faith. $14.00 for the study book RSVP to Sheila Figueroa at shefig@earthlink.net, or 210-822-4082.
