As our church gathers in weekly worship, we unite our voices in song and lift our praises to God on high. The medium of music carries those praises aloft. Through the gift of music, we can experience the majesty and love of God as either a participant or listener. At First Presbyterian Church, the Ministry of Music plays a role in each facet of our vision to make Jesus visible. If you have a desire to serve God and develop your musical gifts, we want to help you find a place of service. Our diverse offerings include opportunities for children, youth and adults. If you have questions about which ensemble might be right for you or a member of your family, please do not hesitate to contact any member of our music staff. Join us as we lift our voices in praise to God!
Make a joyful noise to God, all the earth; sing the glory of his name; give to him glorious praise.

Josh was born in, and still loves, St. Louis, Missouri, but has lived in San Antonio long enough to call it home. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University and the Bethel School of Worship. After some time at Oak Hills Church he now serves as our Associate Minister of Music/ Contemporary Worship Leader (Yes, he has the longest title on staff). It basically means he plays music for Jesus. Before his time on church staff he was making zero money as the drummer for a Christian rock band, Grey Holiday. (Go buy it on iTunes, he’ll get a penny. Well more like a ¼ of a penny). Josh is passionate about seeing the church know Jesus intimately and creatively.
Josh loves to spend time with his wife, Morgan, and their daughter, Elliot. Together they enjoy laughing, singing, reading, and getting hooked on a good TV show.
