This Lenten season, we invite you to join us at First Presbyterian Church of San Antonio (FPCSA) for a variety of enriching events and activities designed to deepen your spiritual journey.

Ash Wednesday Service

When: Wednesday, March 5, 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Where: FPC Sanctuary, 404 N. Alamo Street, San Antonio, TX 78205

Join us in the sanctuary or online for an evening service that marks the start of the Lenten season. Remember, most Bible studies will not meet this evening, with exceptions including the "Emotionally Healthy Spirituality" Class, NAMI Classes, and DivorceCare.

Stations of the Cross Lenten Prayer Activity

March 5 – April 18

Explore the Stations of the Cross throughout our church building. At each station on the second floor of FPC, use the printed scriptures available or scan the QR codes for digital access. Reflect and pray at each station as you contemplate Christ’s sacrifice.

Through this contemplative practice, may you experience the unrelenting love of God. Whether touring alone or with a group, this activity is perfect for prayerful reflection anytime the church is open.

 

"Emotionally Healthy Spirituality" Class

When: Every Wednesday, March 5 - May 7, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Where: McCullough Room

Beginning with a dinner at 6:00 PM on Ash Wednesday, this 10-week course led by Chris and Kathy Scruggs explores the intersection of emotional health and spiritual growth. Together, we will use Peter Scazzero's book "Emotionally Healthy Spirituality" to guide our journey.

- 40-Day Devotional: On sale for $5.00 in the Mauzé Lobby on Sundays, February 16, 23, and March 2. It offers a twice-daily prayer guide throughout Lent (not required for the class).

- Course Fee: $5.00, covering workbook, dinner, and childcare. Register in the lobby or online.

40 Days of Prayer

In alignment with our strategic vision, join us for a transformative 40-day prayer journey starting on March 5. Each day, a new prayer and scripture will be shared on our social media to guide you deeper into God’s calling and our strategic goals.
