Spiritual Gifts Survey

One of our first steps in REDEEMING THE CRISIS is to gather information. We are working to inventory our congregation to assess the skills, resources, relationships, connections and spiritual gifts we can bring to bear for the sake of our community. The Spiritual gift survey takes us to the step of personal investment, and will help us to learn how the Lord has designed and gifted each of us to show His mercy in this moment. You will be hearing a lot more about REDEEMING THE CRISIS. The Lord is summoning us to REACH OUT to our city, to REACH IN to one another and to REACH UP to the Lord Jesus Christ in prayer and worship.

RTC Family

State of the Family Panel

Casualties from the COVID-19 health crisis are cascading to every aspect of San Antonio, disproportionately impacting children and families. Watch the recording of our panel from November 11 and hear from leaders representing different sectors of our city, discover and discuss pathways of empowerment, discern how we can move forward together, caring for children and families afflicted by the crisis.

In This Together – Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week event

First Pres partnered with CAM, SA Hope, Any Woman Can, Canines for Christ, Faith Based Institute, and several other churches and organizations to help raise awareness for hunger and homelessness in San Antonio on Wednesday, Nov. 18 in the CAM parking lot.

KRL Story

Trish Sicari is the KRL’s new Job Readiness social worker. God has already blessed this role through several job placements. Randy, pictured below (with Abby, our new K-9 for Christ volunteer), went through the KRL job readiness training with Trish (and Chris gave him a haircut as a reward). Randy was placed in a job as a security guard and after the first week, the company contacted Trish and asked for more workers like Randy!

October 2020 Food Drive

We had over 25 volunteers from FPC help with distributing food on Saturday, October 17 in partnership with Catholic Charities. 1,061 families and 4,606 total people were served! An estimated 75,000 pounds of food were given out!

Online Financial Peace Classes

FPC hosted several virtual Financial Peace University classes to assist people with budgeting and financial wellness. For ways to serve or connect with our Financial Health Team, and future FPU Classes, please contact Morris Camp at morriscamp@gmail.com.

Our first Financial Peace University class members learned how to be intentional with the resources God has provided. The class had members in every age and life cycle participating. One class leader celebrated the marriages that are being strengthened as couples walk through the class together.
