On February 26, 2023, First Presbyterian Church hosted the Z-Talk with guest speaker Dr. Tom Gibbs, President of Covenant Theological Seminary and former pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church. Dr. Gibbs delivered a compelling message based on John 14, focusing on Jesus' mission to make room for us with God and how that mission calls us to offer hospitality, form intentional relationships, and uphold the pathway to faith. He highlighted the importance of welcoming others and sharing the transformative power of God's grace. Through engaging stories and theological insights, Dr. Gibbs challenged the congregation to consider how they can participate in Jesus' "making room" mission by extending hospitality and building bridges rather than walls, thereby deepening their faith and inviting others into the joy of reconciliation with God.
