Spiritual First Aid Training
The Mental Health Team at First Presbyterian Church is excited to announce our partnership with The Congregational Collective, a program by the H.E. Butt Foundation. This collaboration aims to unite faith and mental health communities, providing essential resources and support.

Our first major initiative is the Spiritual First Aid (SFA) Training on March 21 and 22. This program equips participants to offer spiritual and emotional care, guided by evidence-based, trauma-informed practices paired with biblical wisdom. A Georgia State University study shows SFA can improve our ability to recognize mental health issues such as anxiety and depression.

Thanks to the H.E. Butt Foundation, 10 slots for this training are available at no cost for our church members. We encourage FPC leaders eager to support those facing mental health struggles to participate. It's also an excellent opportunity for fellowship with other church members.

Additionally, anyone with a heart for mental health ministry is welcome to join us in supporting others on their mental health journey. Please consider serving on our Mental Health Team.
