WOC President
Apr 1, 2024
The Women of the Church recently marked two joyous occasions with their deeply cherished community. The much-anticipated WOC Spring Luncheon, held on March 4th, was a day of inspiring insights and meaningful moments. Distinguished speakers Gilbert Hernandez, Annie Mays, and Kyle Bowden illuminated the event, sparking motivation and learning among the attentive audience. A special thank you to Rev. Mitchell Moore and Rev. Becky Prichard for their invaluable contributions to the event. For those who missed this uplifting gathering, a video of the presentation is available at fpcsanantonio.org/woc-lunch-video.
The success of any significant lunch event lies in the dedication and collaboration of many hands. Heartfelt appreciation is extended to all who played a role in making this day truly special, from preparing the delightful menu to organizing the venue and every meticulous detail in between.
Prior to the speaker sessions, the Women of the Church shared the impressive slate of new officers and program chairs for 2024-2025. We gratefully welcomed the new leaders who have answered the call to serve and guide us in the upcoming year.
Continuing the spirit of gratitude, the Women of the Church hosted a vibrant and delectable Fiesta Appreciation Luncheon on March 6th, honoring FPC’s dedicated ministers and church staff. This festive gathering was a heartfelt gesture of appreciation for the unwavering support and commitment demonstrated by the entire staff community.
Looking ahead, the Women of the Church are gearing up for more exciting events to celebrate and connect. The upcoming spring Ladies Night Out on April 16th promises a delightful evening complemented by the spirited Fiesta atmosphere, while the annual May Coffee event on May 8th offers an opportunity to honor past presidents and rejoice in another year filled with service, fellowship, and countless blessings.
As we eagerly anticipate these upcoming gatherings, let’s come together to continue this beautiful journey of faith, fellowship, and celebration.
Warm regards,
Shelley Bass
