The Encouragement Project

Local Missions Encouragement Card Project

The staffs at our local mission partners have risen to the challenges COVID-19 has brought; however, they need our prayers and encouragement to continue offering God’s grace and love. The Encouragement Project is a simple and direct response where everyone at FPC can participate. The idea is simple:
  • Take a bundle of 5 postcards from Mauze Lobby (also available in Lindsay Selli’s office during the week)
  • Be sure to sign the sheet with what cards you are taking
  • Write a short note of encouragement, a prayer, and/or Scripture on the postcard, and pray for the staff member to whom the card is directed. (All of this can be done within a couple of minutes before or after service, or during your Sunday school class or small group meeting.)
  • Drop off finished postcards to the box in Mauze Lobby by Sunday, March 21.
  • From there, the postcards will be mailed to the staffs of our partner organizations.
Having someone, even someone you don’t know, simply say thank you for what you are doing, provide some words of encouragement, and offer a prayer during these challenging times can have a profoundly positive impact. We hope you consider engaging with us on this project as we bring thanks and prayers directly to those working in our local missions partners.
