Mission Opportunities

Loaves & Fishes

Saturday | February 15 | 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM | Student Center
Loaves and Fishes is our monthly opportunity to welcome our under-resourced neighbors for lunch where they will be fed physically and spiritually. We meet in the Student Center on the third Saturday of each month. From 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM, we begin with orientation and then participate in Loaves and Fishes. We have teams for set up, serving, showers, and clean up and we hope all participants will join our guests for a meal around a table.

Missions Day of Prayer & Fasting

Wednesday | Jan. 29 | 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM | Geneva Room
We will be having a special Day of Prayer and Fasting for the church’s missions in 2020. For those available, we will be praying in the Geneva Room as an FPC family. Material will be available for people to pray wherever they are during the lunch hour. Please join us for prayer wherever you find yourself 11 AM-1 PM!

Habitat for Humanity Cluster Build

Saturdays | Feb. 8 – Apr. 4
FPC is one of 15+ local Presbyterian Churches making up the Presbyterian Cluster. In 2020, the Cluster will sponsor, fund and build our 25th Habitat home. We are seeking volunteers for the build, beginning Feb. 8 and running each Saturday through April 4. No experience or special skills required! For more information contact Fred Wall at 210-887-2434 or fredkwall@aol.com.

Living Waters Mexico Mission Trips Spring 2020

February 15-22 & May 9-17 | Leona Vicario, Mexico
FPC will be working, through Living Waters for the World, to provide access to clean water in the Yucatan over the next year. Our first Clean Water mission trip to build the water processing facility will be February 15 – 22 to Leona Vicario, a small town 25 miles inland from Cancun. The clean water system build and installation mission trip is scheduled for May 9 – 17. The team rosters for both mission trips are being formed and have spots available. Visit fpcsanantonio.org/mission-trips or email lindsays@fpcsat.org for more information and to apply for the teams.

Support the KRL with Donations

The Kingdom Restoration Lab (KRL) at FPC has been able to serve nearly 500 people since it opened in January 2019, and continues to bring hop and restoration to our under-resourced neighbors.

Help fill the food and clothing pantries with necessities for our under-resourced neighbors in their journey to becoming self-sufficient. As the weather gets colder, our largest needs are: jackets/coats/warm clothing and men’s clothing (especially L, XL, & XXL sizes). An Amazon wish list has been created by our partner, SA Hope Center;  Click HERE for the list and to make a purchase. All of the items that you purchase from the Amazon wish list will be shipped directly to the KRL.

SA Heals Serving Opportunities

SA Heals is a ministry on the East Side of San Antonio which works with families and children in the neighborhood around Washington Elementary School. There are several opportunities to serve with the children just minutes away from FPC, through their Reading Buddies Program, volunteering as a Lunch Buddy, and more. Please contact Lindsay Selli (lindsays@fpcsat.org) for more information about ways to serve, and training opportunities.
