Mission Opportunities

Support the KRL with Donations & Volunteering!

The Kingdom Restoration Lab (KRL) at FPC would like to fill its food and clothing pantries at our new location with necessities for our under-resourced neighbors in their journey to becoming self-sufficient. As the weather gets colder, our largest needs are: jackets/coats/warm clothing and men’s clothing (especially L, XL, & XXL sizes). An Amazon wish list has been created by our partner, Christian Hope Resource Center (CHRC);  Click HERE for the list and to make a purchase. All of the items that you purchase from the Amazon wish list will be shipped directly to the KRL. Thank you so much for your help in this endeavor to serve even more of our San Antonio community!

Volunteer! If you are interested in volunteering for our KRL ministries, contact Lindsay at lindsays@fpcsat.org.

Loaves & Fishes

Saturday | November 16 | 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM | Student Center
Loaves and Fishes is our monthly opportunity to welcome our under-resourced neighbors for lunch where they will be fed physically and spiritually. We meet in the Student Center on the third Saturday of each month. From 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM, we begin with orientation and then participate in Loaves and Fishes. We have teams for set up, serving, showers, and clean up and we hope all participants will join our guests for a meal around a table.

Operation Christmas Child

Boxes & Postage Due Sunday, Nov. 17
Thank you so much for your generosity; all of the OCC boxes have been picked up early! Boxes and $9/box postage (or receipts from Samaritan’s Purse website) are due back to FPC by next Sunday, Nov. 17. You may still donate $30 to cover an entire box or toward any missing postage. For more information contact rozlynm@fpcsat.org.

Mission 709 Update

Mission 709 has been an official FPC focus seeking to empower our congregation toward responding to God’s grace with more faithful participation in His mission of redemptive restoration in our neighborhoods and among the nations. We have prayed for 709 Covenant Partners to touch the lives of 5,000 people. We rejoice to announce we have touched over 7,000 people this year through our mission participation, but must understand how many Covenant Partners have participated. Would you please fill out our Mission 709 Service Report Form or email missions@fpcsat.org and let us know if you have served this year with one of our ministry partners; in a mission activity; and/or with an organization in our city, the nation, or among the nations?

SA Heals Serving Opportunities

SA Heals is a ministry on the East Side of San Antonio which works with families and children in the neighborhood around Washington Elementary School. There are several opportunities to serve with the children just minutes away from FPC, through their Reading Buddies Program, volunteering as a Lunch Buddy, and more. Please contact Lindsay Selli (lindsays@fpcsat.org) for more information about ways to serve, and training opportunities.
