Love SATX Christmas Project

The CAM Christmas Store provides an emergency, free shopping experience for those less fortunate in San Antonio facing a severe crisis. More than 1,500 children will have an incredible Christmas despite the fact their families are facing a serious financial crisis. Parents are able to select gifts, books, stuffed animals, socks, gloves, and other goodies that their children will like. Join us in sharing the joy of the season and making a difference in the lives of San Antonio families by donating new toys and/or volunteering with the Christmas Store at the CAMpassion Warehouse off of McCullough Ave. Visit their website at christianassistanceministry.org/cam-christmas-store.

The GoodHood’s Affordable Christmas event gives families on the Eastside of San Antonio the opportunity to provide Christmas gifts for their children in a way that preserves dignity and promotes empowerment.

How can you help?

The GoodHood has a goal to stock 900 presents, which will allow them to invite 100 families to shop. You can either purchase toys that can be delivered directly to the GoodHood, or make a donation which will be used by the GoodHood to purchase toys. Visit their website at thegoodhood.org.

As our ministry partners in the KRL serve our neighbors each day, they help to provide access to needed items like clothing, hygiene products, and food. You can help by donating these items to help the ongoing work in the KRL. Current needs include:

  • Comfortable shoes for men and women
  • Coats
  • Sweatshirts and hoodies for men and women
  • Denim pants (especially in sizes 30-34)

If you’d like to donate items for the KRL Resource Room, you can deliver them directly to the church, or you can order online to have items shipped to FPC.

Each summer, Young Life takes students to camps, where the kids can get away from the pressures of everyday life, have fun with their friends and Young Life Leaders, and hear the message of God’s love in terms they can understand. This is an amazing and powerful week for these students. This Christmas season, you are invited to “adopt” a student from SA East Young Life by providing scholarships that will help these students get to camp.

How can you help?

SA East Young Life will have a table with a tree in the FPC Lobby through December where the ornaments will highlight the students who want to attend camp this summer. Simply pick the ornament you like, provide your donation towards that student’s camp cost, and commit to praying for them through the Spring semester. For more information, please contact Baylie Collins at saeastyl@gmail.com.

The “Gift of Christmas” is an opportunity for individuals or groups in our church to share Christ’s love with others by giving food, clothing, gifts and/or gift cards to families in our community who are in need. Each family is referred to us by the House of Neighborly Service (HNS). Some families are large, with many children, while others are small with just one or two children. All are very appreciative of the gifts and the givers.

Christmas Eve Offering

The entire Christmas Eve Offering received in our December 24th services will go towards FPC mission partners faithfully serving to advance Christ’s kingdom in our neighborhoods and among the nations.
