Sunday Morning Prayer Opportunity

Every Sunday • 8:30 AM • Room 228 (the Bride’s Room)

By Ken Finch

The apostle Paul emphasized prayer in his epistles to the churches and in his instructions to Timothy as the young leader of the church in Ephesus.  Paul continuously prayed for others, and he sent these instructions to Timothy:

“First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.”  (1 Tim 2:1-2, ESV)

Every Sunday morning at 8:30, members of FPC’s Prayer Ministry Committee assemble in room 228 (the Bride’s Room) to share prayers, following Paul’s guidance.  All of us have concerns about our families, our nation, our public officials, and our church.  Some need prayer for illnesses or inner healing.

You are invited to come. Praying together is comforting.  Share your prayers so that others may benefit.

“I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from my fears.  Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.”  (Psalm 34:4-5, ESV)

If you are unable to attend a House of Prayer group or if you are a member of an 8:30 Sunday school class that is taking a recess during the summer months, come one Sunday and pray with us.
