National Day of Prayer Annual Prayer Walk

Thursday, May 2, 2024 | 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM | Begin at FPC Ave. E Entrance

This year’s theme, “Lift Up the Word, Light Up the World,” will guide our journey based on 2 Samuel 22:29-31.

  • Prepare your hearts with our Annual Prayer Walk starting with a program at the First Presbyterian Church (FPC) Ave. E entrance at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 2, 2024.
  • We will then walk to Travis Park for additional prayers, scripture readings, and music.
  • From there, we will proceed to the Main Plaza to participate in the National Day of Prayer (NDP) worship service.
  • The Celebration and Praise session will precede the event at 11:30 AM before Mayor Nirenberg reads the National Day of Prayer City Proclamation at noon as the chimes ring from the San Fernando Cathedral.

Come together with pastors, ministry leaders, city officials, students, and individuals from all segments of San Antonio society for a time of unity, prayer, and worship. Let us lift our voices as one and honor our Lord during this impactful event.

Back to School Prayer at the Flagpole

Sunday, August 11 | 5:00 PM | Your Local School Flagpole

Join the Prayer Ministry Committee of First Presbyterian Church for a meaningful “prayer at the flagpole” gathering at schools in our City and surrounding areas on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. Come together to pray for students, teachers, and faculty as we lift them up in prayer for the upcoming school year. We invite you to mark your calendars and make time to participate in this special event. Whether you choose to go to your child’s school or any school in the area, bring along your family and friends to join in this informal prayer session. Let’s unite in covering our local schools with prayer and bring blessings to all who enter.
