Youth Sunday School meets from 9:30 to 10:30 and is for all youth grades 6-12. Our goal is to create a safe space to have fun, make and enjoy friendships, interact with loving adult mentors and dig into the Bible. All classes meet on the 2nd floor of First Presbyterian Church Student Center in grade-specific classrooms (8th graders are invited to participate in the Confirmation class).

On the first Sunday of each month, all youth gather together for “Hot Breakfast Sunday” – fellowship, pancakes and worship!

Confirmation celebrates our young people when they are ready to make a commitment to the life of the church in a formal way. This class meets Sunday mornings during the 9:30 a.m. education hour and is open to all interested youth in grades 8–12. Through teaching of Old and New Testament surveys, Church history, creeds/confessions, and worship we explore what it means to be a follower of Jesus as Presbyterian Christians.

We celebrate our young people at a special Confirmation Banquet, joined by their parents, mentors and officers of the church. Students read their faith statements and take their vows of membership. They will be received publicly in worship on Confirmation Sunday.
