Here at FPC, we know that the Lord isn’t just preparing you to make an impact later. He has something great planned for you now, and our Associates for Youth Ministry, Colton Willis and Emily Yergler, and Associate for University Ministries, Alex Solorio, are excited to help you find that out. Youth Ministry Associate
Colton Willis was born and raised in San Antonio. “It’s my home, and I hope it will be my home for many years to come,” he says. Colton loves God, his family, and his San Antonio Spurs! You will learn he is a die-hard Spurs fan, wears Spurs shirts on game days, and tries to attend as many games as possible. He admits he isn’t very athletic, but his brothers tell all their friends that he does know a lot about Spurs basketball! Colton’s family is in San Antonio, he has a brother at St. Mary's University, a sister at San Antonio Christian School, and a brother at college in Abilene at Hardin Simmons University. He is married to the love of his life Amy Willis. He loves being around family and friends. Colton loves getting to meet new people and learning about their faith journey. He hold's a bachelors in Youth and Family Ministry and Biblical Text from Abilene Christian University.

University/Young Adults Associate
Alex Solorio was born and raised in Houston Texas. He attended Houston Baptist University where he was involved in many organizations including, The HBU Reteam, Residents Life and the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity. Alex is a Houston fan to the core but doesn't mind cheering for the Spurs, just don't ask him about Dallas teams. Alex’s hobbies include any outdoor sport, finding good new eats, and watching movies. Houston is where the family is; his Mother and Father are leaders of their respective church. He has an older sister who lives in Thailand, as a missionary, with her husband, and a younger brother that attends Houston Baptist University as a Christianity major. Alex has a Masters in Theological Studies and has been in College ministry for more 3 years. He is set on his passion for college students/young adults and their relationships with Jesus.

All youth are invited to the Student Center at our church campus downtown on Sundays from 6:00-8:00pm for a large youth group event. Youth are encouraged to invite their friends and come for the whole evening. Bring $5 for dinner!

BBQ Lunch/Talent Show

Each year we hold this event so that students can be celebrated for their talents and to raise money for various mission trips they will go on over the summer. Join us for a delicious spaghetti lunch and some wonderful acts. There are a variety of ways in which you can participate, from set-up, to serving, to performing or creating a work of art for everyone to see.
