Colton Willis was born and raised in San Antonio. “It’s my home, and I hope it will be my home for many years to come,” he says.  Colton loves God, his family, and his San Antonio Spurs! You will learn he is a die-hard Spurs fan, wears Spurs shirts on game days, and tries to attend as many games as possible. He admits he isn’t very athletic, but his brothers tell all their friends that he does know a lot about Spurs basketball! Colton’s family is in San Antonio, he has a brother at St. Mary's University, a sister at San Antonio Christian School, and a brother at college in Abilene at Hardin Simmons University. He is married to the love of his life Amy Willis. He loves being around family and friends. Colton loves getting to meet new people and learning about their faith journey. He hold's a bachelors in Youth and Family Ministry and Biblical Text from Abilene Christian University.

Alex Solorio : Director of University Ministries

Alex Solorio

Director of University Ministries

Alex Solorio was born and raised in Houston Texas. He attended Houston Baptist University where he was involved in many organizations including, The HBU Reteam, Residents Life and the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity. Alex is a Houston fan to the core but doesn't mind cheering for the Spurs, just don't ask him about Dallas teams. Alex’s hobbies include any outdoor sport, finding good new eats, and watching movies. Houston is where the family is; his Mother and Father are leaders of their respective church. He has an older sister who lives in Thailand, as a missionary, with her husband, and a younger brother that attends Houston Baptist University as a Christianity major. Alex has a Masters in Theological Studies and has been in College ministry for more 3 years. He is set on his passion for college students/young adults and their relationships with Jesus.

This event promotes the talents of our very own students while they raise awareness and donations for the upcoming summer mission trips! Come bid on an item at the silent auction, grab a plate of delicious Texas BBQ and enjoy the show while you eat.

There are a variety of ways in which you can participate, from set-up, to serving, to performing or creating a work of art. If you would like to participate in any way contact Colton Willis or Emily Yergler.

Urban Plunge

Urban Plunge is a chance for students in grades 5-8 to participate in local mission projects for a week. We stay in the dorms at FPC and have a great time serving in the community!

Mission Trip to Budapest, Hungary

July 5th-25th, 2018 – Youth/College

This trip will be open to high school students entering their junior/senior year in 2017 who are interested in a longer-term taste of mission work abroad. Students will work with FPC Missionary Partners through YWAM Hungary. They will have the opportunity to see life through the lens of a career missionary and participate in a variety of outreach opportunities in Budapest.

The trip cost is estimated to be $2,600 per person (Global Missions and Fundraising events will help to offset this cost). If you’d like to apply, download the application form here and return it to Emily Yergler at FPC.
