Tom Dooling, Minister of Music, at 271-2717 or

Beginning Wednesday, September 3, 2014 from 5:00-5:30 pm in room 309, we will be offering a 5 week introduction to ringing English handbells (culminating on Oct. 1).  Cast in bronze, each bell is tuned to a different pitch that when combined produce melody, chords, rhythm, and great music!  Open to youth grades 6-12, this introduction to ringing will explore ringing techniques, ensemble teamwork, and reinforce basic concepts of reading music.  For more information, please contact Tom Dooling, Minister of Music, at 271-2717 or  To see a sample of what handbells are all about, click on this youtube link –

Youth Music/Worship Team (Grades 6-12)

Matt Fricker :

Youth-led worship enhances our youth group meetings and gives young people the opportunity to develop as worship leaders, both as instrumentalists and vocalists. The Worship Band and Vocal Team meet on First Wednesdays to experience the joy of singing praises to God and playing worship songs for God. Vocalists will learn to blend their voices, sing solos, and use microphones and amplification well. Band members will sharpen their skills on guitars, keyboard, drums and other instruments as they learn to blend as a band. Joining together for part of the rehearsal time, the worship team will be ready to lead worship for youth group on First Wednesdays. We are actively seeking new members and welcome any of our youth who enjoy singing or playing instruments. No prior experience is needed. Our goal is to sing and play joyfully and to experience God through music.
