2018 Stewardship Campaign

“Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever! Let the redeemed of the Lord say so…”

Psalm 107:1-2

Exciting opportunities, old and new friends, endless truth, struggles shared, prayers answered, hope proclaimed, new life promised. In broad brushstrokes, these concepts describe the blessings we have received from the Lord in 2017.

At First Presbyterian Church, we believe that our highest calling is to give God glory for all that He has given and for all that He has done. Our church believes that giving is not an act of obligation, but a type of worship. Through giving, we express our thanks to God. We do not ask people to give out of their poverty, but from a heart overflowing with thanksgiving to God.

Psalm 107 calls us to worship the God who makes a difference in our lives. The Psalm says, “Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of man! For he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good thing (vs. 8-9)”

Stewardship is thankful worship, and every ministry goal we have can be filled if we let our hearts overflow with gratitude to God. God has richly blessed this church family with both resources and opportunities to serve Him. We need every family in the church to share the blessings God has entrusted to our care. Our church is investing in the future of God’s work through Children’s and Youth ministry. We are providing pastoral care to those who need it. We are providing local ministries with resources and people, and we are providing opportunities for the First family to enjoy fellowship together. Most of all, we are spreading the good news of Jesus Christ.

For 2018, we pray that God will prompt you to support the ministries of our church from a heart overflowing with grace.

If the Lord has made a difference in your life, let the redeemed of the Lord say so.

If Jesus Christ has made a difference in your life, let the redeemed of the Lord say so.

If First Presbyterian Church has made a difference in your life, let the redeemed of the Lord say so.

“Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of man! And let them offer sacrifices of thanksgiving, and tell of his deeds in songs of joy!”

Psalm 107:21-22
